Jump 12: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - Part 3: Destiny of a Jumper pt. 2

With fun times had with my companions I no longer had that sense of loneliness that had found its way to me. Our bonds were strong enough to unite us no matter the distance. As for the recap of events, starting out with things that didn’t include me comes first as before. Koichi faced a Stand user with malicious intentions and learned how to use his Stand more effectively. Two other students at Josuke’s school happen to be Stand users. Confrontations with them were had and gotten through with more ingenuity than I would have initially given them credit for.  And a Stand chef was found. He didn’t want anything more than to cook good food for people, so I stopped by his restaurant. His food was out of this world, and I ended up feeling better than I had coming in after it was all done.

One morning I awoke in my room at the hotel as usual, but felt and odd sense of danger I couldn’t put my finger on. Leaving my room after completing my routine I found myself face to face with the girl I had seen in the lobby a number of days prior. She was in another dress, this one a shade of yellow with even more frills than the last one.

“So you’re the one staying in my room.”

“Excuse me?”

“I didn’t stutter. You’re staying in my room. Go to another floor. Better yet, another hotel. I’ll kick you and the guy above you out, these rooms belong to me.”

“Umm, you’ve lost me little girl. How exactly are these rooms yours?”

“You’re lucky I take being mistaken as a kid a compliment or I’d have a train run you over. Since I’m such a nice and forgiving person, I’ll give you the chance to leave before I make you myself.”

I wasn’t in the mood to further indulge what I thought to be a misguided girl and turned to leave.

“If you don’t willingly leave you won’t make it past the front of the building without paying the price.”

“I think you underestimate who you’re dealing with.”

“And you clearly underestimate who’s dealing with you, so it works out. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. I tried to give you a pass since you aren’t from Morioh, but if you have to become mine too then so be it.”

I didn’t know what her words could mean so I left her in the hall and took the elevator down. There I saw another familiar face from that day, accosting the desk clerk.

“What do you mean you can’t let me up there too? Do I need to break your face on the glass over there?”

The desk clerk tried to reason with the man with the glasses but it was a fruitless endeavor. When the desk clerk’s head was grabbed that’s when I stepped in and force them apart.

“Remember me?”

“It’s you again! Fuck the desk boy, I’m kicking your ass instead!”

I deliberately ignored him and stepped outside to avoid damaging the hotel interior with a fight. I found two more familiar faces talking outside of the hotel.

“Are you still grumpy over losing due to your own attack?”

“Maybe I am, maybe I just want to run you over with a train? You never can really know.”

“Did you forget who you’re talking to? You’re probably the easiest person to read I know. No need to hide your frustration with the tough guy act. I won’t spill your secrets to the others.”

“Just shut up and let me wait for her to come back in peace. I- Hey! It’s him again. Time for my rematch.”

“Who says I’d just let you get first dibs? I was clearly the better opponent for him last time. I want him all to myself.”

“Both of you can go fuck off, I saw him first.”

With the man in glasses coming outside I was trapped between the three of them.

“Who says a psycho like you gets priority? I’m taking this punk down.”

“You’re both wrong, I’ll be the one to beat him. Then afterwards he can treat me to lunch to make up for last time.”

“Do I need to break some of you Sigmein? You don’t just go on dates with people I want to shatter.”

“The only person doing any breaking is me, and the thing that’s getting broken is him. By me. You go find another person to kill Deamond, and you can go flirt with literally anyone else Sigmein. I’m getting my revenge.”

I wasn’t sure what to make of their constant bickering with each other, and wondered if they were really all part of a team as the hotel door opened once again.

“The three of you are going to work together and fight him as a unit. He’s the one that has the suite under the penthouse.”

“But I can-”

“I don’t want any complaints Django. From what you told me I’ll probably have to step in at the end anyway.”

“You told her about King? Now I can’t have any fun. You know whenever she gets involved we win without an issue.”

“I don’t even care anymore. As long as I get to break something with his face I’ll be satisfied!”

“I’m glad one of you gets it. How about you two? Or will I have to punish you later?”

“Yeah, yeah. I get it. Work together.”

“You’re never any fun, you know that? Sorry King, but orders are orders. Deamond, wait for my signal. Django-”

“Already on it!”

With surprising coordination, Sigmein and Django both rushed at me. I was put immediately on the defensive and had to block attacks from the both of them simultaneously. Punches, kicks and the occasional elbow were all thrown my way. Through some signal I couldn’t decipher, the two of them began to overwhelm me, courtesy of Sigmein’s ability to read me no doubt. I coated my body in electricity and discharged it to force them back. The girl raised an eyebrow, but showed no other reactions.

Sigmein jumped and tried landing an ax kick on me, but I dodged and realized too late that’s what she wanted me to do.

“Poker Face!”

Deamond activated his Stand and joined the battle by trying to punch me in the face. I caught his fist, but was unprepared for the knee to the chest he delivered. It wasn’t strong enough to faze me, but questioning why I couldn’t anticipate something like that left me open to Sigmein’s next attack.

“Deceiving Red: Overdrive!”

I caught a glimpse of reddish sparks before her fist connected with my face and sent me flying in the air. I flipped over and used the momentum to create some distance and was nearly blindsided by a train, getting knocked away but not run over.

“Django why do you always mess things up?”

“You think it’s my fault your weak ass punch couldn’t stun him long enough?”

“…”

“Break you, break you break you! I’ll break you until there’s nothing left!”

Not hurt but confused, I watched Deamond begin to circle me as Sigmein went over to Django to relay some sort of plan. I wanted to rush in to break they’re planning, but knew that Sigmein would be counting on my interference. I decided to meet her expectations in a different way, and brought a bolt of lightning down between them before using instant movement to get in front of Deamond. I saw the surprise in his eyes as I grabbed him and threw him at Django. Sigmein would have expected it, but Django caught Deamond looking confused as I attempted to use the time to take them both out. Sigmein put herself between them and grinned as she tore off the sleeves of her jacket and channeled that strange energy through them to block a kick from me. Upon closer inspection, what I thought to be sleeves were actually scarves.

“I’ll admit, you almost got me with that one.”

I was forced to back away before the train ran into me again.

“But you’re still just as predictable.”

Before anymore could be said or done, the girl walked over and put herself between the three of them and me.

“I think this has gone on long enough.”

“But it was just getting good.”

“I haven’t gotten to punch him in the face yet.”

“He needs to be broken.”

“Once he’s mine you all can work out your differences later. I’m tired of waiting to claim my room at the hotel.”

“…”

“Tch.”

“Well when she owns you like the rest of us you can show me your cool tricks. And buy me lunch.”

“Enough with the flirting already. When I get through with him he won’t be able to eat for a week.”

“Mine Song.”

“Crush 40.”

Something about this girl screamed bad news, so I activated my Stand right after she activated hers. Her Stand was an amorphous, shadowy…thing for lack of a better term. It surveyed the area and looked its eyes on me. Before it could rush over to me, one of the hotel’s janitors spotted me from inside and ran over to me. He obviously hadn’t seen what had been taking place and paid no mind to the other four. He wanted to thank me again for fixing a problem the hotel was having with its electricity and became the unintended target of Mine Song.

The joy on his face left in an instant, and his eyes became almost lifeless, and her Stand wrapped around him and pulled some intangible energy from him before returning. The man no longer found the will to continue speaking and listlessly began to return to the hotel like a sort of zombie.

“Well aren’t you a lucky one? That man’s joy was nice, but I’d have preferred whatever it is you’re feeling right now. We’re leaving you three. King, was it? We’ll be seeing each other again.”

“I wanted to break him…”

“Next time I see you you’re dead.”

“I’ll keep in touch. You owe me a fight and a meal next time.”

The four of them left the area and I was left wondering how much I could really afford to hold back if I wanted to stay safe with them as my enemies. Especially that girl…

“Ah, King. Perfect timing. I want you to come with me to meet Josuke and the others. We’re going to discuss what to do about the Stand user that stole the Bow and Arrow.”

Jotaro broke me out of my daze with his sudden appearance and request.

“Sure, sounds good to me. I could use something to do right now…”

I went with Jotaro to meet the others and talk about Red Hot Chili Peppers’ user. Despite going to distract myself from the event of the morning, I could get it off of my mind and wasn’t much help. Jotaro revealed that Joseph Joestar would be arriving in Morioh on a ship that day to help. Before we all could properly digest that piece of information, Okuyasu’s bike sprung to life and took off with RHCP laughing about the information it gathered. In a stunning display of competence, Okuyasu used his Stand, The Hand, to not only get to his bike, but force RHCP out of it, and into the open without a source of power.

Unfortunately as we went to meet up with him after he corned RHCP, it played a trick with his mind and got him to open a path to a power cable unintentionally. RHCP was revitalized and took most of Okuyasu away into the cable the same way I was told he got his brother. While Koichi and I were rightly worried, Jotaro and Josuke weren’t fazed. Josuke used Crazy Diamond to bring the rest of Okuyasu to the hand that RHCP had left behind. With Okuyasu brought back to us in one piece, we made our way to the harbor where Joseph’s boat would be coming in at. Jotaro figured that the user would send RHCP to the boat with some something with a portable battery and he and Okuyasu set out to get to the boat before it docked while Josuke, Koichi and I were tasked with finding the user. He decided to show himself to us once he realized his entire plan had been figured out and set out to defeat us. I watched as Josuke fought what seemed to be a losing battle, but he turned it around and sent RHCP into the ocean. I felt he didn’t need to die, so I used instant movement to get to the water and grab him once I was sure he was unconscious and drained the remaining electricity out of him.

“If you could do that this entire time, why did I have to fight him at all?”

“I didn’t want to take the spotlight away from you. If he had attacked me instead of you I’d have ended it.”

“Josuke could have died King! That’s not something you should do.”

“My apologies Koichi, but I wouldn’t have let anything happen to him. I’m faster than you think.”

“Whatever. Just help out next time would you?”

“I’ll keep it in mind Josuke.”

Koichi let Jotaro know that we defeated Akira (RHCP’s user) and we talked a bit more about nothing important. I saw Akira leave and decided to practice fortune telling to see what his future held. I saw retribution and failure and figured without my intervention he’d get what was coming to him. Koichi noticed Akira’s disappearance and let Jotaro know. From what I was told, Okuyasu was able to get the revenge he wanted and saved Joseph. Josuke helped his father off of the boat and began the process of trying to bond all on his own. It was a nice thing to see.

With the incident brought to a close I accompanied Jotaro and Joseph back to the hotel and thought about the events of the morning…

  1. This Django guy is actually terrible, but I'm gonna chalk it up to everyone else getting in the way. Though, if I were him, I wouldn't care about friendly fire.

    1. There seems to be an underlying reason to his working with the others. The key lies with the girl and her Stand, but I'm not sure how. Otherwise I doubt he'd ever associate with them. - From a quizzical Future Jump King

    3. It was less of a defeat and more of a... tactical withdrawal. Had their leader not interfered I'd have most likely been forced to start using magic magic to maintain an advantage. Despite their unorthodox partnership, they were very unified as a fighting unit. - From a contemplative Future Jump King

  2. I'd hate to get on the leader's bad side. I wonder what the four's goal is. I can't imagine someone like Sigmein working with someone like Django.
