“Due to the strange nature of the
multiversal time axes this may or may not come at an appropriate time
chronologically on the blog.”
“Knowing
you, it’ll probably seem misplaced.”
“That aside, Merry Christmas all,
or whatever equivalent suits the occasion for you. In the spirit of the season
and to further my efforts at becoming the future ‘King of Jumpers’, I’ve
decided to do something a little different and present gifts to all those
within my purview. But since I was tasked with gifting one person in
particular, they shall receive something more special than the others as
compensation. Let it be known that without my companions none of these gifts
could have been completed as I am now. So if you wish to give thanks, they
deserve them just as much as I.”
“At
least one of you better be grateful, or I’ll have all of you die for me.”
“Now
there’s something you haven’t said in a while. Anyway, first up is a…Shio
Memony. We uh… we didn’t have a lot to go off of for this one. I don’t think
anyone besides your Pokémon can vouch for your interests.”
“Since all we can really gather is
that you like eevees, we decided to present you with…”
“Nine
different eevee plushies! But wait, you might ask “Why would I want any more
than three of the same adorable plushies?”. To that I have to say, these are
magical plushies. Eight of them turn into a specific eeveelution when you put
some magical energy into them, the other one is just a normal plushie. While we
know you don’t possess any magical power yet, Alice has assured us any mage
worthy of that title can transform them for you, if you never want to learn
yourself, or just get impatient. Hope you like them Shio!”
“The
next person is… Aliseris.”
“This is a gift I was… hesitant to
give out. As much grief as I’ve given Dingo for his own actions, I don’t know
if Alsieris is truly on a different level, or just had a rough start.
Regardless, I shall not leave a jumper without a present from us, so I hope you
don’t try and find a way to kill someone with this.”
“We
prepared a book that if you read it, might give you a change of heart about
your… violent hobby. Conversely, it contains a spell that can help you calm
down when you read it. Jump-chan will only let it work on you, so don’t even
attempt to try and use it to subdue someone you want to kill. If we find out
you did anyway, the book will explode in your face. While not lethal, it shall scale
in power as you do, so it’s currently at its weakest. Happy Holidays.”
“And
the last person we’re not exactly acquainted with, but certainly more rational,
is Breemer Emmerich.”
“Thankfully, with everyone else we
were able to make more informed decisions. Although… I feel like I still don’t
have enough of an understanding about you, Breemer. Regardless, I hope you find
the gift to your liking.”
“With
not much to go on, we settled on something you could modify yourself, although
without many in jump applications. Shock, Sora and Psyche all worked on an easy
to adapt, (but impossible to reverse engineer thanks to Jump-chan’s
interference) generator for any technology you might come across that needs an
external power source. With some tampering, it could even be placed inside of
things too. The catch is you have to have a demon, or a being similar to one
either willingly agree to power it, or be forced. Please don’t force benevolent
or peaceful entities. You’re only allowed to use it for mundane circumstances,
but if you can get a source of power, the generator is likely never to run out
of power so long as you keep the creature powering it alive somehow. Hope you
can find a use for it. Enjoy your holiday.”
“Tadek
or Regret if that’s what you would like to go by, the next gift belongs to you.”
“While you had a rough start, and
I haven’t been aware of you for that long I believe you have the potential to
be something much greater than you are. Please enjoy your gift and continue to
take yourself to greater heights.”
“Tadek,
dude, you got an awesome gift! It’s a replica of the Overlord’s cloak that King
has as the King of Bel. Not only will it make you appear mysterious and help
you blend in with a crowd, but it makes you look totally bad ass. It’s also
been enchanted so that it can attach itself to any piece of clothing you have.
Put it on your trench coat and you’d look totally awesome. Merry Christmas.”
“The next gift is for a certain
princess with her own kids. Your adventures have been a pleasure to read
through and I wish you the best for the holiday season and the rest of your
time as a jumper. I request that you at least take this present with you on a
jump and use it at least once. Merry Christmas Sigmund.”
“Since
we all doubt that you’ll stop going to jumps where you have to defend yourself
we figured it would be appropriate to give you a sword. King had the sword made
by Daidara, and turned it into a high frequency weapon. Unfortunately, unless
you ever learn how to use high frequency weapons, that feature will remain locked.
I did however, include two technique scrolls from my own style. If you ever
take the time to learn how to use your chi, you can use the scrolls to learn my
‘Water Dragon’s Fang Strike’, and ‘Coiling Sea Serpent Slash’, albeit not
ever truly at its full potential. The sword also makes a good gift in its own
right if you ever want to give a companion something to use. Merry Christmas.”
“Now
we’re down to the last three jumpers. This next one if for a dog that likes
getting on everyone’s nerves.”
“While we differ greatly in our
philosophies on life, and I can’t say with certainty we’re truly on good terms
again, you still have many redeemable qualities I should focus on before
judging you. Knowing you Dingo, your pride will probably cause you to leave
your gift in your warehouse or toss it on one of your companions, but I still
want you to like it all the same.”
“Since you’ve
never stopped chasing your desire to be the strongest, no weapon or technique from
us would suite you. If you’re going to be strong it’ll be from what you acquire
on your own. So with that in mind, we give you access to a spell. Specifically,
the memory sharing spell, ‘Memorandum’.
Normally you need to be a mage, know the incantation, and be in the ritual circle
touching foreheads with the person you want to share with…but we’ve automated
most of it for you. You’ll be receiving a COMP that cannot be taken outside of
your warehouse of companion housing, with the spell as one of the apps inside.
If you ever want to show one of your companions a memory as opposed to just telling
them about it, this is for you. While only meant for you, if one of your
companions wants to share a memory with you it should be fine. It goes through
things that cancel magic, so don’t worry about your Anti-Magic ability.”
“This
next gift will probably seem very redundant to the recipient. All the same, we
figured it was the most appropriate gift for you D.”
“As probably the most down to
earth and forgiving of us jumpers, I feel that you deserve more kindness than
we show you at times. I want you to continue to grow, make friends and find the
many places where you can belong in the multiverse. Enjoy the holiday D.”
“You’ve
got a creepy fixation on mirrors. Unfortunately, King sees nothing wrong with
it so we made you another to add to your collection. This mirror however, is
also a magic smart phone. Depending on the universe it’ll behave like some form
of communication recognizable to the world when you’re in the eye of someone
not a jumper. Any other time it’ll allow you to see the face of the person you’re
communicating with in place of your reflection and talk with them. Thanks to
Shock you can also install games on it, ruining the magic aesthetic. Have a
nice holiday, mirror enthusiast.”
“Now
last, but certainly not least!”
“The
jumper that King was assigned to give a gift to.”
“It
should be no surprise now.”
“But
we should continue with the formalities up until the end.”
“Everyone
else’s gifts really don’t matter when you think about it.”
“So
without any further delay…”
“It’s
time to reveal [REDACTED]’s present! We had to think long and hard about this
one. So I hope we decided right.”
“[REDACTED], we would like to
present you with, a cardboard box. Within this box, is something from all of
us.”
“A
treeko plushie from yours truly. It’s so adorable I almost don’t want to give
it up.”
“Instructions
for a dance requiring a partner from me. I haven’t found anyone to try it with
myself yet, but I’m sure you can. It’s for slower songs like waltzes, but can
be altered for music with a higher tempo.”
“A
rose from me. Chant the following while holding it to cast a spell that’ll rejuvenate
up to ten people: ‘Fragrantia floris, meis
amicis vigorem, vitalitatem, auram salutarem! Refectio.’ It won’t work in
combat situations, but it can help you function without being tired after
something like an all-nighter spent studying. You only get one use every two
months, so make it count. The rose will never wilt.”
“I don’t
have much going for me in the realm of making things. So I partnered with Alice
to give you a replica of my sealing cloak. It can’t hide you’re powers outright
or even actually seal them, but it’ll make them harder to detect.”
“Headbands
from me. Enough for you and your companions to each have one. Alter the colors
however you like and even add an emblem if you want to. They’ll make it easier
for you all to find each other in a crowd, but seem inconspicuous to others.”
“You
have magic right? I made some generic magical, action figure sized robots that
can take on the form you and your companions. Just pour some magic into them
and decide who gets which one. They can even move and simulate things you’ve
done before. Hope you like them.”
“I
decided on something far more mundane, but I hope you like it all the same. A
necklace with a pendant attached. Inside is a photo you can alter with our
memories to show different people you care deeply about. I recommend one person
at a time due to the size.”
“And finally, what you will receive
from me. A bracelet you can repurpose into anything you desire, with a little
bit of myself within and my companions imbued within the metal. It’ll give you very
minor shock as a warning to incoming danger. Feel free to give it to a less
aware companion if you want. You’ll also take to learning new forms of magic or
fighting styles a bit easier courtesy of Alice and Karen respectively.
That wraps everything up I think.
While I didn’t technically break the rule about not being able to choose, I
still feel a bit guilty. Hopefully the work we put into this will allow you all
to overlook this. Merry Christmas once again from all of us.”
Cool, I'll be able to learn every defense to every attack Anubis has ever received. Thanks, King.
ReplyDelete- Dingo Brando
I don't think you can just replicate what he knows just by seeing it. I'm not even sure he counts as a viable target since he's a stand. - Future Jump King
DeleteOh... my god?
ReplyDeleteJust your kind words were enough, but thank you so much for this gift! How thoughtful... It'll be a cherished piece of the collection. Happy Winter Solstace! - D. Shard
Ugh... I don't know if adding to his addiction is a healthy thing, but it's pretty cool you got everyone somethin'. You're cool, King. ~Dido
You're very welcome D. I'm glad you like it. - Future Jump King
DeleteI tried to talk him out of it Dido, but he wouldn't back down. Make sure he at least uses it to talk with you when you're apart. - Alice
These gifts are amazing! I will practice until I can properly use your gifts! I won't let you down future king of Jumpchain! Happy holidays!

I'm glad you appreciate the sword. I trust you'll master it one day and maybe even give me a run for my money. - Future Jump King
DeleteI'll take much more practice without a teacher to Lear those techniques, but I'm sure you won't let the Karen Style down. - Karen
I do know how to pick up weapons and quickly learn how to use them but if there is something I need that I don't have then it'll no doubt be difficult to properly handle it. But do not worry, I refuse to back down!
